When Hublot and Formula One struck a partnership last year for the former to serve as the official timepiece maker of the latter, you kind of expected the watchmaker to roll out a slew of special edition timepieces. Since then, we’ve seen a number of limited edition watches from Hublot and now, they’re preparing to release their latest model. It is called the Hublot Formula 1 King Power Ceramic Watch and will only come in a limited run of 500 pieces.

Coming in a matte black ceramic King Power style case measuring 48 mm wide, the watch was given black and red tones with a strap mixed with titanium tones. There’s also a ceramic bezel placed over a carbon fiber plate and a black Nomex strap with red stitching attached to the case. All the elements used on the watch boast of premium quality, something that you would expect from the luxurious and extravagant world of Formula 1.

Aesthetically, it doesn’t get any better than this. It’s one of the best race-themed watches we’ve seen in a long time, and as a special edition, we expect it to be run dry faster than a Red Bull RB7 laps the Nurburgring.

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read More

Yeah! Not interested! I don’t know if I’m going to laugh at the face of its creator or feel pity for them. I can’t figure out on why they keep on extending their merchandise it doesn’t have to do with cars either.

Well, I don’t think that this is the best watch that I have seen though it was inspired in the F1 racing. The work of Tag Heur seems great and it looks better compare to this.

BenZaholic, Yes it seemed to be impractical to buy expensive items if you cannot afford to save money. You should also think of your financial status before your splurge for luxurious items.

Well, I would agree with you o the price thing. Imagine that, this watch costs almost the same as a brand new entertainment system.

I am not really that fond of these sports car themed watches. I find them rather impractical in that they often cost more than regular watches, but don’t offer much in terms of functionality.

I would agree, this is really a rather good looking watch. I like the red accents that they have used on this one, they really give it a racer feel.

Hmm, the watch actually looks pretty good here. I like the rugged style that they have used for the whole design. I would say that this one is one of the best looking car themed watches here.

You are right. I keep on reading about this thing all over the car section! And I was freaking, what the hell! Does this thing doing in here! This is the same with Ferrari tag along with Karspersky anti- virus! Strange.

Yeah, I have read about this partnership. Black and red theme was good. However, still I find it kind of strange because I’m wondering what was ceramic Watches have to do with cars?
