This mysterious Bentley Continental GT was spotted recently in Spain. What is so mystifying you may be asking? If you look closely into the back window at the rear deck lid, you will notice a few bare metal items strapped down. What this looks like to us, is the control unit for an electric motor and battery pack combination. Could this be the beginning of a hybrid GT, or did this Bentley owner’s stereo shop just do a shoddy job?

If you have any idea, please let us know!

What do you think?

I agree with evo10 they could have blacked out the window, but still if we can get any source to confirm could be good, if its going to be a hybrid it would be great for sure.

As to my opinion, the car wasn’t caught Western Spain, more like Southern Spain in Granada and it is using the firms 6.0 litre W12 petrol engine. I reckon this is a hybrid mule for the next Continental GT

Well just one question, if it was a hybrid proto, then surly they could have hidden this fact by "blacking" out the rear window?
maybe to obvious to be true?
of course i am NOT saying its fake, just a little to obvious to be true?
could even be there just to pull up the hybrid hype on the car, could be a dummy look? Convince me more.

Well a check with the vehicle licensing in the UK shows it to be a Bentley (obviously). However the model is listed as ’unknown’ and the CO2 as nil. Don’t think that the nil makes it a zero emission, but when you check other prototypes, that’s how they are listed i.e. make shown, but model and emissions listed as unknown
