If BMW Aims to Take on the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 with an X7 M This is What It Will Look Like
BMW’s rival to the Mercedes GLS 63 AMGby Andrei Nedelea, on
BMW may have created the X7 large SUV as a means to haul up to seven people in comfort, luxury, and opulence, but you don’t want to see the measly 40i model - you want to see what an X7M could look like if BMW actually made it. So, we made a rendering.
It is way too soon for BMW to comment about a hot version of the X7, but an X7M would definitely make sense - it’d even have a rival in the form of the Mercedes AMG GLS 63. An X7M would probably still use the same 4.4-liter, twin-turbo, V-8 as other Motorsport models, but since the X7 is a big and heavy thing, BMW should tune it to deliver well over 600 horsepower, maybe even closer to 650 horsepower.
It would also feature larger, wider wheels and the accompanying widened wheel arches, as well as the familiar Motorsport-styled front bumper and rear bumper with quad exhausts.
Around the side, it would probably have different design slats behind the front wheels which wouldn’t necessarily have a shiny silver finish - in fact, shiny exterior details could be blacked out, just like in this quick rendering of an X7M that I made for the purpose of illustrating this article.
BMW may not have made any comments about an X7M, but there would definitely be a (small) market for it, and it would definitely be a sight out on the road - its combination of size, the wider stance, and M bits would immediately make it stand out.
