Ford is bidding farewell to all of its cars in the U.S. market, with the exception of the Mustang, and for one final hoorah, Ford is introducing the Fiesta ST Line to its 2019 model lineup to give buyers Fiesta ST looks without any power gains whatsoever. Seriously, folks, we can’t make this up. The Fiesta ST Line is, essentially, the Fiesta ST with the mundane 1.6-liter four-banger from the lesser models. Ford even claims to use the same front and rear clips on the car, making the only real difference the engine under the hood. To be more specific, Ford says “It’s for people who want the look of the ST but the don’t necessarily care about having that performance.”

2019 Ford Fiesta ST Line

So, what does the Fiesta ST Line come with? Well, it gets everything you get with an ST on a cosmetic level. There’s the traditional honeycomb grille, black room, and ST spoiler. It even has body-colored rockers and dual chrome. It even comes complete with 16-inch ST wheels, black seats with red stitching, a leather steering wheel, and metal scuff plates. Under the hood sits just 1.6-liters of Ford caca that’s good for 120 horsepower and 112 pound-feet of torque. A manual transmission is the only cool thing about it, while an automatic will set you back an extra $1,000.

On that note, however, this just goes to show how completely out of touch Ford really is. There has to be some seriously scrambling going on in those HQ meeting rooms. It’s seriously like a senile old man trying to figure out his own finances. Since ford has killed off the Fiesta Titanium here in the states for 2019, it needed to fill the gap, and that’s what it’s doing. The worst part is that the ST line doesn’t even get all of the extra upgrades its European counterpart gets over base models.

With that said, Pricing will kick off at $19,375 including destination charges. That’s less than $2,000 and 77 horsepower less than the Fiesta ST. So, for a few thousand bucks, with destination charges, you could have a real performance car (in its respective segment, anyway) and not just one that looks the part with no heart under the hood.
