Inaugural Royal Drive 2010 supercar event kicks off in Abu Dhabi on March 18
If you’re tired of all the auto shows that seem to happen at a frenetic pace this time of the year, then we invite you to look forward to a refreshingly new event that could become a yearly staple on every car enthusiast’s calendar.
Royal Drive 2010, a three-day exotic car gathering will kick-off at Abu Dhabi on March 18. In its inaugural year, the organizers of Royal Drive 2010 are pulling out all the stops, inviting over 60 local and foreign participants to show-off their luxury exotics amids the gleaming backdrop of the Abu Dhabi and Dubai skylines.
If you’re thinking that this is just one of those regular run-of-the-mill auto events, then you are sadly mistaken. Not only will this feature some of the Middle East’s most expensive cars, but one car that’s already been booked to make an appearance is the Gemballa Mirage GT.
Not exactly a car you’d call run-of-the-mill, eh?
In any event, we expect to see more luxury exotics sign up for the three-day extravaganza, which includes an itenerary of recreational racing at the Yas Marina Circuit - the site of the Formula One’s Abu Dhabi GP - as well as leisurely drives along Abu Dhabi’s Corniche beach boulevard and the Dubai Marina in Dubai.
