A few days ago we reported that Infiniti was working on a coupe and convertible version based on the new generation M luxury sedan. Today, Autoblog confirms that Infiniti will bring two M-based models to Pebble Beach.

According to Autoblog, the two models "will extend Infiniti into an area we haven’t been before and that one of those models will be more performance oriented."

The two models will be inspired by the new Essence Concept that debuted at the Geneva Motor Show last year in both design and powertrain It will be offered in a twin-turbo, direct injected V6 engine delivering more than 450 HP.

They will now use the M package of BMW. It is a good idea for them because that package of a car is quite impressive, and I am also looking forward to creating that two versions, the coupe and the convertible one.

I wonder of this concept would be similar to those in BMW or they follow that name in their package kit. However, I think this car would be powerful but I’m not that sure if this new model can produce that amount of power.

Oh well, maybe they are confused whether it’s a symbol or just a name. Sigh.

I like how the fact that all infinity has to do is release the silhouette brushstroke and we can already see the car haha

It amazes me that despite being written in the post, 75% of people still can’t spell the Infiniti name properly.

I’m not a big fan of the MB CLS "coupe", but I imagine that this is the trend that Infiniti will follow with a four-door M "coupe", and a shortened wheelbase M coupe to fight with the BMW 6-series.
