To commemorate the release of the upcoming James Bond flick, No Time To Die, The Little Car Company has created a two-thirds-scale version of the Aston Martin DB5. The DB5 is synonymous with James Bond movies. It was first seen in ‘Goldfinger’ in 1946 and will be seen for the eighth time in ‘No Time To Die’.

The two-thirds scale electric version of the Aston Martin DB5 is called the DB5 Junior 'No Time To Die Edition' is priced at over $100,000! It even comes with all sorts of gadgets that we’ve seen in the movies over the years. Fancy, huh?

It Comes With Many Gadgets!

This is reminiscent of the DB5 in Goldfinger that where twin .303-caliber machine guns popped out of the indicator lights. Here the headlights will drop and reveal twin mini-guns. There’s no ammunition, of course, but you’ll have to do with the barrel flashes and the noise.

My favorite wizardry on James Bond’s DB5 was the cycling numberplate. It’s one of the things that caught my attention the most back when I was a kid. The Little Car Company has offered it on the DB5 Junior, too, but with a little difference. It makes use of the same software and hardware as the original movie and can be customized to display messages and video as well.

There’s also a smokescreen of sorts. It is ejected through the supposed exhaust of the car. You can also do doughnuts here using the ‘Skid Mode’. And, to wrap it all off, the control panel for these tricks is hidden in the passenger door trim. Seems pretty cool, doesn’t it?

What’s Special About The DB5 Junior Other Than The Gadgets?

This 66-percent scale model comes with a fully electric powertrain and has been reimagined as James Bond’s DB5. The car will pay homage to Silver Birch paintwork, individually numbered chassis plates, and Smiths instruments, which also includes an original clock. It even comes with Aston Martin and 007 badging.

On the inside, the DB5 Junior comes with a full leather interior in a variety of colors. There’s a Mahogany and aluminum steering wheel. By the way, the car can seat one adult and one child.

It will also have a top speed of over 45 mph. There will be four drive modes on this – Novice, Expert, Competition, and Escape. The Little Car Company and Aston Martin have also offered disc brakes on all four wheels and a hydraulic handbrake.

As for the suspension setup, there’s a double-wishbone suspension at the front, with the roll center and camber gain matching the original geometry. Even the rear live axle is as same as the original car, with authentic upper and lower trailing-arm suspension, and Panhard rod.

How Much Does The DB5 Junior James Bond Edition Cost?

The car is not street-legal, but it still is a collector’s model of sorts. This is approximately $123,000 as per the current exchange rates.
