A lot of people strive to customize their vehicles to make them truly unique and exclusive, but the guys at Life OD went above and beyond by bolting a two-person bicycle onto the hood of a beat-up 89 Honda Civic and rode up to their new creation to McDonald's.

The Guys at Life OD

If this idea sounds whacky, then I can tell you, it isn’t their first "engine" swap. These guys have previously installed four turbos up on a stick like an exhaust, swapped an engine for a boat engine, and even converted a '98 Subaru Forester into the World's Cheapest Snowplow. This very same Civic has previously been converted to ride on added dually rear wheels so they could tow a 13,000-pound trailer.

Their shop isn’t really a shop, what it is, is a science laboratory. Because they have pursued the kind of questions that no one is asking. For instance, have you ever considered using Gas, Diesel, or WD40 in place of your Engine Oil or have you ever wondered what would happen if you filled up your tires with water? The guys at OD have it all covered. After all of that, it seems only reasonable that they would weld the bicycle-built-for-two onto the front of a car.

What's the rationale behind this crazy creation?

Let's face it, if you're on you’re way to McDonald's to consume all those calories from all the fat, sugar, and salt, you might as well get a good workout first.

How does it work?

AJ and his crew go on to demonstrate how their new conversion works. A pulley system connects the bicycle's back wheel to the car's right front wheel. They are using a bike designed for two here. As AJ and his buddy pedal away, the chain-link delivers enough poke to the pulley system to turn the wheel of the car. One of the guys would then have to sit in the driver's seat to steer the car.

The Drive up to McDonald's

Things go surprisingly nicely on the drive up to McDonald's. The YouTuber-mechanics hit a top speed of mind-boggling 2 mph. The folks who saw this ridiculous thing on the street had their phones out and they seemed to absolutely love it bringing about a smile on people's faces. Almost everybody who went past was waving and blowing their horn.

Eventually, the cops showed up. But instead of saying “License and Registration Please!”, he was plain curious and was kind of speechless. Mercifully, the guys make it back in one piece to their shop after their adventure to McDonald's.
