Boutique supercar->ke177 companies don't have model lineups like major manufacturers. There are often only a few units produced in between tweaks and/or upgrades, and it's often worth checking back in with a given car, even if it looks the same as it did the last time you read or saw a review of it. That's why Jay Leno->ke3731 is showing us a Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita. Of course, the Trevita is a few years old at this point, but it takes a diehard fan to keep all of the Koenigsegg->ke43 model variants straight, and it's possible that you missed this one.

The CC was first built as a prototype all the way back in 1996. It was ready for production by 2000, and the first deliveries were made in 2002. That was aeons ago in supercar years, but the car was updated at least once every other year for the entirety of its production cycle. The CCXR was rolled out in 2007, just one year after the CCX, just to give you an idea of how quickly it evolved. The Trevita, unveiled in 2009, is mechanically the same as the “regular” CCXR, but the extremely limited production car uses a special white carbon fiber for the bodywork. It's all very impressive, especially from such a small firm.

Perhaps the best part of the video is you get to meet Christian Koenigsegg himself.
