Jeep->ke40 and NBCUniversal have teamed up in a cross-promotion that will advertise the Renegade on Bravo, E!, NBC Entertainment, and Syfy networks with a call-to-action that encourages viewers hashtag photos of themselves and their “Renegade spirit” using the hashtag #RenegadeLifeContest. Each poster to the hashtag has a chance at having their photo included in an upcoming Jeep Renegade commercial spot.

What’s more, three participants will be chosen to fly to Los Angeles to attend the iHeartRadio Music Awards where their Renegade commercial will air. Even better, each of the three contestants will take home a new Renegade.->ke4827

Jeep says that it is looking to target Millennial audiences though the social media and music platforms in which they’re used to using. This sort of advertising is highly targeted and should be pretty effective. Plus, it is a win-win for everybody. Three people get featured on TV and win a new Renegade while Jeep reaps the publicity.

The contest goes from February 8 through March 2, 2015 and is open to those 18 or older who live in the continental U.S.

Why it matters

Given the Renegade does cater to a younger, hipper audience, it’s easy to see Jeep’s angle here. In fact, Jeep’s Kim Adams House, Head of Jeep Brand Advertising, FCA U.S. spells it out in the press release below, saying:

“We know that our Millennial audience looks to multiple engagement platforms for their consumption to include television, music and social media channels, to discover what’s new and share this content. Through this partnership, we’re able to offer this group the opportunity to learn more about our vehicle through channels in which they are familiar."

What’s more, winning a free (save for taxes) 2015 Jeep Renegade is a pretty awesome proposition.
