You just know a video is gonna be good when it starts with John Hennessey doing a burnout. Part of the reason is that whatever machine Hennessey happens to be using for said burnout is sure to be absolutely wicked. The other part? Burnouts are badass. Simple enough?

In case you were unaware, the 2015 Mustang GT HPE700 is Hennessey Performance’s take on what the new Mustang->ke428 should have been from the factory. 2015 Mustang GT HPE700

Essentially, what we have here is supercar performance with a galloping horse badge. The 5.0-liter “Coyote” V-8 gets a roots-style blower, throttle body upgrade, stainless steel exhaust, upgraded fuel system, custom engine management tuning, a few badges, new floor mats, and a whole bunch of carbon-fiber aerodynamics.

With the final bolt in place, output is 717 horsepower and 632 pound-feet of torque. On street tires, that’s good enough for a 0-to-60 of 3.6 seconds and a quarter mile pass of 11.2 seconds at 131 mph. With drag radials, you’re looking at 10s all day.

The best part? You can get it all for just $60,000.
