The Carroll Shelby Foundation will auction a one-off Jordin Sparks Edition 750 horsepower 2010 Shelby GT500 Super Snake next week during the 3rd annual "Jordin Sparks Experience" at Super Bowl XLIV in Miami. The live auction, which will begin with a minimum bid of $75,000, will take place Feb. 3, 2010, during the "Cars, Stars, & Cigars" portion of the event at the Eden Roc Renaissance, Miami Beach. World renowned recording artist Jordin Sparks will host the anticipated gathering, which will include performances and appearances by the brightest stars in sports and entertainment.

Proceeds from the Shelby Super Snake auction will be split between the Carroll Shelby Foundation and Sparks Charities. The Carroll Shelby Foundation was founded by automotive legend Carroll Shelby to provide financial support for children battling life-threatening illnesses and promote continuing education.

"Partnering with Jordin Sparks and Sparks Charities will give us an amazing opportunity to raise funds for our children's health and education initiatives," said Jenni Shreeves, director of the Carroll Shelby Foundation. "With Jordin's help, the talented team at Shelby American built a stunning new GT500 Super Snake with design options unique to this car. We're proud to be part of this Super Bowl event that will help worthy organizations across the country." The red custom Mustang includes a 750 horsepower Super Snake package from Shelby American, which enhances the car's handling, styling and power. From monster brakes to beefy suspension pieces, the Shelby has supercar capabilities.

Exclusivity will be assured as a limited number of Super Snakes will be built at the Shelby American facility in Las Vegas or one of the Mod Shops. The value of the Shelby Super Snake package is $29,995 (does not include the car).

The interior of the pony car includes a unique Jordin Sparks touch sponsored by Roadwire Leather Interiors. Special features include a custom Alcantara enhanced OEM replacement leather interior, airbag validated driver and passenger seat foam replacement, with aggressive driving bolsters and a new shift boot and center console to match. The car was unveiled last week during the 39th Annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The special edition Shelby will be one of many stars gracing the Super Bowl event from Feb. 3-5. Featured performers include David Archuleta, Mario and Jason Derulo, while NFL stars Larry Fitzgerald, Albert Haynesworth and Donovan McNabb are among the many professional athletes scheduled to attend.

The event will also be the official launch of Jordin and her brother P.J.'s "I'm M.A.D., Are You?" campaign. M.A.D. stands for "Making A Difference." The campaign hopes to motivate others to find something they're passionate about, maybe get a little "mad" about it, and funnel that energy into making a difference in their communities, families and world by just doing something to help another.

"I'm thrilled to be partnering with the Carroll Shelby Foundation for this year's Jordin Sparks Experience event in Miami," explained Sparks. "I'm a huge fan of Shelby, and I absolutely love my 2008 GT500 that I won from American Idol. The Jordin Sparks Special Edition Shelby will be up for auction at my event, and the proceeds will go towards the Carroll Shelby Foundation and Sparks Charities." Interested bidders who will not be in attendance can contact Jenni Shreeves at jenni@cscf.org or (310) 327-5072 to discuss bidding options.
