During a publicity shoot in Toronto the new KITT car was carjacked, sorta. NBC has admitted to this being a publicity stunt. The car has been "KITTnapped" as part of what NBC calls a "unique viewer engagement promotion" in which one fan will win a new Ford Mustang if they spot where KITT has gone (this sounds more like a reward than a contest.)

The premiere episode of Knight Rider will air Wednesday, September 24th at 8 p.m. on NBC
