Selling cars worth well in excess of $1 million isn't an easy thing to do. First and most important, you need to have a market, or at least a client base willing to shell that kind of money. Second, you need to be able to move the cars and find them these owners, which in some cases is the job of dealerships. And finally, you need to go to a market where these cars are going to be enjoyed to their fullest because it's going to be pointless if you shell out the money only to let the car collect dust in the garage.
Koenigsegg->ke43 is one of these exotic brands that need checkmarks to all three conditions before it decides to venture into a market. So the recent announcement that Koenigsegg is returning to the U.S. through the Manhattan Motorcars of New York City dealership seems to suggest that the Swedish supercar->ke177 is ready to conquer America once again.
To its credit, Koenigsegg picked a very capable dealership to handle the job of offering its range of exotics to prospective American clients. After all, Manhattan Motorcars is renowned as an award-winning new and pre-owned retailer for a number of high-end performance brands, including, Bugatti->ke16, Rolls-Royce->ke74, Bentley->ke15, and Lamborghini->ke44.
Adding Koenigsegg to that mix not only establishes Manhattan Motorcars as the go-to-place for high-end exotics, but also gives the Swedish company a chance to once again turn some heads and stake some claim to the country's high-end performance car segment.
As part of its deal, Manhattan Motorcars will be represent Koenigsegg at the New York International Auto Show with a display of the company's newest model, the 2014 Agera R.

The Koenigsegg Agera R is powered by an in-house-developed 5.0-liter, V-8 engine with twin turbos that develops a total of 1,140 horsepower -- an improvement of 25 horsepower over the 2012 model year.
The Agera R can hit a top speed of 273 mph and currently holds four different records: 0 to 300 km/h in just 14.53 seconds, 300 to 0 km/h in just 6.66 seconds, from 0 to 200 mph in 17.68 seconds and from 200 to 0 mph in 7.28 seconds.
