If there's one word that pretty much sums up what 2010 has become for the auto industry, you'd be hard-pressed to find a more appropriate one than 'recall'. Now, it looks like the recall bug has bitten the exotic car world after Lamborghini->ke44 announced that it was recalling 428 models of the 2007-2008 Lamborghini Murcielago Coupes and Roadsters.

According to Lamborghini, a fuel leak could occur on both the Murcielago Coupe and Roadster if the welds that hold the fuel pump support inside the fuel tank detach, which could then lead to a fuel leak and worse, start a fire. Maybe this explains why we've seen so many Murcielagos burning down...

Lamborghini has officially informed the NHTSA that US Lamborghini dealerships will begin working on replacing the fuel tank and those who own models that fall under this line can have theirs replaced at no cost. So, if you have one of these 2007-2008 models, you can put a call to Lamborghini at 1-912-409-5634 or 1-508-808-9562.
