Shortly after the Lamborghini Aventador’s official debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, Lamborghini was pleased to announce that the super car had been sold out for the 2011 model year. Now, the company can puff out its chest that much more since the Aventador is now sold out for the next 18 months!

Lamborghini planned to build 600 Aventador units per year and they have already sold 1,000 units, illustrating the super car’s rising popularity in spite of its $379,700 price tag. We imagine that the production of the Spyder version will end up creating some sort of balance in sales. Thankfully, it will be launched sometime next year giving more fans the ability to ride around in Lamborghini’s newest creation.

The Aventador is powered by a new 6.5-liter V12 engine with an AWD layout that produces 700 HP at 8,250 rpm and 509 lb-ft at 5,500 rpm. This engine will be able to get from 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds while blasting off a top speed of 217 mph.

The speed performance of this car is just enough to make us drool! However, I think this article needs to be updated for it was said that its three years equivalent to 36 months!

Well, recently it was said that it will be sold out for 3 years along with Ferrari FF! The aggressive look and impressive performance of this car is its selling point!

It seems that W engine is less powerful compare to the V. Imagine, a ordinary v technology could released a 700 hp unlike the W engine which is only around 600 hp. Now, I know why does most of the car company uses the V technology.

OMG I loved everything about this baby, the color, the doors, the interior and the engine but not the price that’s another story and the bumper.

This is already a old news! And I don’t get why they are limiting their production since there are a lot of people craving to have one.

Yes, Well, that’s a good idea to drive this car up to its maximum speed. However, I think that’s the advantage of sports car, with the proper maintenance plus you can’t surely used it daily, those thing makes the car stay for a long period.

Yeah right. This car is great and I can’t wait to see the Spyder version. Anyway, @JoeMadre, If you want to test the reliability of this car then try to buy one and drive it to its maximum speed. Don’t hesitate to use it as long a you want..then after a week tells us..What happenedsmiley

Yes, this car has been sold for less than a month now along with the Ferrari FF! Anyway, the performance of the car speaks it all. And I think they should increase their production.. I bet there are many that want to have this car,

Guess what, a lot of folks are probably lining up to pre-order the cars for the Aventador’s production run in 2013. I bet that one would also be sold out in just a few months.

Well, that one isn’t all that surprising. After all, we learned that the Aventador was already sold out even before it was officially launched.

Yes, it’s gorgeous. Yes it’s fast. But will it last? Based on L’s history of serious reliability issues, I wouldn’t consider purchasing this when the same money would buy me the LF-A. Call me a prude, but how fast does a car go when you can’t get it out of your garage?
