We all knew that Lamborghini->ke44 was planning to reveal, or at least partially reveal, its 50th anniversary plans at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours. Well, we got a little bit of the latter, but nothing too exciting, though there is a big possibility that there's more in the works.

Confirmed for 2013 are celebrations in Italy and other countries throughout the year. The official festivities will start on May 7th and will feature a 750-mile rally through Italy. The rally will features hundreds of Lambos from various years, including some of the most modern and powerful Lamborghinis of all time.

Registration for the rally starts on September 20th and the fee has yet to be announced. Lamborghini is also using this event to help rebuild the earthquake-ravaged Emilia-Romagna region by donating 10 percent of the proceeds from the registration and sponsorship to benefit the affected region.

The big thing we are still waiting for is the announcement of a 50th anniversary model. Lamborghini already released a 50th anniversary emblem, which is in the above picture, which leads us to assume that this emblem will make its way onto a model or two. Judging by the 50th anniversary website, we think this special edition model or models will include the Aventador->ke3624, as it is the main image on the site.

For now we can just wait and see. For our U.S.-based Lamborghini owners, we have reached out to Lamborghini Club America to see what festivities they will be hosting – if any – so you don't have to travel to another country to get in on the fun.
