Ever wish you could drive all the variations of Land Rovers->ke46 that span the decades? Well Land Rover is now offering the opportunity at its new Heritage Driving Experience located amid its Fen Ed, UK customer test facility.
Land Rover is offering a myriad of vehicles to drive, including an original 1948 Series I. Also offered are a Series II and III – followed by a drive in a modern Land Rover Defender.->ke1858 The Heritage Driving Experience is broken up into categories, with the Series I, II, and III verses the Defender being the first and least expensive option. At £85, or roughly $130 at current exchange rates, a Land Rover instructor will guide you over on- and off-road driving courses designed to showcase each vehicle’s capabilities. Each driving experience are one-day events.
For £90 ($138), Land Rover offers the Historic Drives tour that include the original Series I, along with the original Range Rover and the unusual 101 Forward Control, a vehicle designed to transport the British Army.
Speaking of Range Rovers, the Heritage Driving Experience also offers the Range Rover ->ke469Then & Now option for £125 ($192). This choice puts you behind the wheel of the original Range Rover and its 2015 model year counterpart. What’s more, this option includes high-speed track time in the 2015 Range Rover, on top of the off-road driving course.
Can’t choose just one? Land Rover offers the “Collection” experience for £250 ($384) that includes all the Land Rover and Range Rover models, plus some extra military vehicles, and expedition-prepped models that range from the Defender up to the newest Range Rover.

Why It Matters
The Land Rover brand is draped in historical significance and heritage, with plenty of avid followers obsessed with its role in post-war times. Now these folks have the chance to drive these vehicles back-to-back in a controlled environment and under the guidance of a Land Rover instructor. It doesn’t get much better than that.
