Each of the models in this article is equipped with a V8 engine, but cylindrical capacity differs from case to case. For starters, The Range Rover’s HSE AWD V8 has a capacity of 4.4 liters. It generates 305 horsepower at 5750rpm and 325Nm of torque at 4000rpm. Volkswagen equipped their Touareg with a 4.2 liter engine that is capable of 310 horsepower starting from 6200rpm and a torque of 302 Nm from 3000rpm. The “big brother”, the Cayenne has a 4.5 liter engine that has 340 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. Except for the Touareg that has 5, the Range Rover and the Cayenne have 4 valves per cylinder. Range Rover has the smallest compression ratio – 10.5:1 , followed by the Volkswagen with 11:1 and Porsche with 11.5:1

As presented, all 3 of the tested vehicles have the same figures. They “eat” up to 14 miles per gallon in the city and 18 on the highway.

The Range Rover is the heaviest car, with a weight of a 5474.1 lbs , followed by the Touareg with 5299.9 lbs and the lightest – the Cayenne – 4949.4. All three models have a standard seating of 5 people.

Both the Cayenne and the Touareg have wishbone front suspension, while the Range Rover has a strut bar one, but it’s rear suspension is the same as the Volkswagen’s –wishbone. The Porsche has a multi-link rear suspension.

The Range Rover has the biggest stock wheels – 19” , while both of the others have 18”. Tire’s dimensions are the same 255/55.

All three models are equipped with a stock 4x4 wheel driver , ABS breaks and Vehicle Stability Control System, but only the Range Rover has a stock Limited Slip Differential or axle. Also, all three models have stock cruise control, tilt steering, telescopic steering column, air conditioning, power windows and driver multi-adjustable seat. For safety reasons, all of the models have a standard of front side, driver and passenger side airbags. But none of them have a stock rear side airbag. A sunroof/moonroof is present but only on the Range Rover and the Touareg.
