One of the largest Hummer dealerships is about to close its doors forever. The only dealership to service the Las Vegas area will be at least the eighth Hummer dealer closing this year. This closing just compounds the problem General Motors is having selling the large SUV brand.

This closing is notable because of where it is taking place, and who is pulling the plug. The dealership was featured on the A&E reality TV show "King of Cars", where the Hummer sales were a hallmark of the dealership’s flashy image. Dealership owner Dan Towbin once said that Las Vegas is a custom fit for Hummer, “It’s all about bling and it’s in the desert”

To replace one trendy brand with another, the Las Vegas dealership will soon sell Smart models.
