This is not the first time LEGO has partnered with Lamborghini to build a Sián. But unlike the 1:8 scale model I am talking about, the two companies have collaborated to recreate a full-size supercar prototype displayed inside the Lamborghini museum in Sant’Agata Bolognese. The prototype will be displayed until October 6, 2022.

Lamborghini launched the Sián hybrid supercar in 2020, and it is a super rare car limited to only 63 examples. Initially revealed in June 2021, the full-size LEGO-made Sián prototype is made of more than 400,000 bricks. The variety of bricks includes 154 types, and about 20 were sculpted, especially for Sián’s unique design. This incredible piece of art took 8,660 hours to complete and required 15 individuals to complete the work. Also, for the first time, the LEGO parts were applied with UV color coating using Lamborghini's color scheme to ensure elegance.

The Chief Marketing and Sales Officer of Lamborghini, Federico Foschini, has stated that “this 1:1 scale model of the Sián shows that Lamborghini–just like LEGO–sees challenges as its lifeblood, technology as a means of creation, and design as a linchpin that can and must take people’s breath away.” Attention to detail was the key initiative, and the LEGO Group has delivered it. Similar to the production-run Sián, the Y-shaped headlights and hexagonal taillight clusters are made of LEGO pieces. In addition, the lights are working and can be operated via a remote control panel.

However, the interior is also worth mentioning because the LEGO team has put a lot of effort into making the cabin look as realistic as possible. For example, the flat-bottom steering wheel with the Lamborghini logo at the center is made of LEGO bricks. Even the center console and the seats are identical to the original Sián. As a result, the total weight of the life-like Sián toy is 4,850 pounds, which is like 1,223 pounds more than the production-spec supercar. However, the dimensions of the LEGO prototype match the original car. It is 192.5 inches long, 82.7 inches wide, and 44.6 inches tall.

Now, the LEGO Technic Sian KFP 37 is resting inside the Lamborghini museum, and there’s no doubt that this news will attract many fans from all over the world. Lena Dixen, the Senior Vice President of Products and Marketing at the LEGO Group, is very happy about the company’s achievement. She has complemented the designers by stating that “they leaped at the chance to work on this model and look at things in a slightly bigger way than usual.”
