Lexus gets high rating in the annual J.D. Power and Associates vehicle dependability study

Recent studies show that Lexus is keeping a good position, for the 14th year in row, in the top honors such as the annual J.D. Power and Associates vehicle dependability study. Researchers found out that, on a study made on 52,000 owners of 3-years old vehicles, the respondents report 75% more problems in the third year of ownership than during the first 3 months. There are big problems also on satisfaction level, the studies showing that they would hardly recommend the vehicle to others. The most experienced problems were excessive wind noise, noisy brakes, vehicles pulling to the left or right, issues with the interior panels or dashboard and excessive window fogging.

Lexus is the brand that made the best improvings in the last 14 years, resolving 25 more problems for 100 vehicles since 2007 and achieving 120 points. In the top five rank also names like Mercury, Cadillac, Toyota and Acura. Lexus achieved also several segment awards with the models ES330, GX470, IS300, LS430, LX470 and SC, all of them ranking the first place in their segment. Toyota got also awards in 5 segments with Highlander, Prius, RAV4, Sequoia, and Tundra.
