Lexus’ brave offensive against the Germans continued in 2014 with the introduction of the 2015 RC F, a state-of-the-art, beefed-up coupe aimed at the BMW M4 and the Audi RS5. The high-performance two-door was unveiled with aggressive exterior styling, a sporty interior inspired by the LF-A supercar, and a brand-new V-8 powerplant behind the massive front grille. The 5.0-liter V-8 cranks out 467 horsepower and 389 pound-feet of torque, placing the RC F above its BMW- and Audi-badged rivals in terms of horsepower. Sure, the Japanese coupe is half a second slower than the M4 from 0 to 60 mph, but it comes with a superior top speed at 170 mph.

Whether you’re pondering on the idea of buying and RC F or you’re just anxious to find out what kind of goodies Lexus has in store for it, the sports coupe’s configurator is now online to keep our index fingers busy for a while. Exterior Colors

As with most high-performance Lexus models, the RC F comes with plenty of exterior color choices. Seven colors to be more specific, selected to suit the various tastes. If you’re the classy type, there are two shades of gray to choose from — Liquid Platinum and Nebula Gray Pearl — besides the usual Obsidian Black and the Ultra White. If you’re looking for shade that showcases the coupe’s sporty nature, there’s the flashy Infrared, the Ultrasonic Blue Mica and the Molten Pearl. The latter, which is a metallic blend of copper and orange, will enable the RC F to shine from miles away.
