Lexus->ke47 just dropped the first teaser image on a new F model that will be unveiled next month at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show->ke222. All the image shows in the front wheel, fender and part of the headlight, but most the model in question is likely the F variant of the recently launched 2015 Lexus RC.

While no concrete details were offered, Lexus did describe the new model as "engineered from scratch, one performance layer at a time, the newest F model promises a bold, gritty, experience synonymous with the famed Lexus F heritage."

The RC F was caught testing plenty of times, and it will be offered as a cheaper alternative to the likes of the BMW M4 Coupe and Audi RS5.

If the model shown here is indeed the RC F, then you should expect it to simply look like an RC updated with the usual F model elements, like the more aggressive body kit, the larger wheels, sports suspension, high-performance brakes and the obligatory more potent engine.

2015 Lexus RC-F

The RC F was caught testing for the first time in early 2013 when we believed it was simply the IS F Coupe. Still, after Lexus trademarked the "RC F" name, it became clear that it would be the more powerful coupe.

Rumors suggest that the RC F Could drop the 5.0-liter, V-8 engine in favor of a totally new, naturally aspirated or turbocharged engine. Either way, we expect the output to be close to 450 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque -- right up there with the M4.

The model will also be equipped with carbon-fiber body panels, a 0.60-inche reduced ride height and a sport-tuned suspension.
