Hybrid cars are getting bigger every day, so Lexus thought why not have a police hybrid car? Last year the police from Hampshire benefit from a Lexus RX 400h, now is the Wiltshire Constabulary Police turn to get the new 450h in their fleet.

Lexus GS 450h combines the power of a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine with a high output electric motor and the result is a maximum output of 341bhp and a sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds.

“The Lexus will be used by Wiltshire Police for varied traffic duties,” advised Steve Botham Police Fleet Manager of Wiltshire Constabulary. “The force is continuing to trial hybrid and environmentally friendly vehicles. The Lexus GS 450h gives the force the opportunity to operate a high performance hybrid vehicle in a demanding police role.”
