Lotus announced that the Emira will be its last gas-powered car, thus marking the end of an era. The Emira, the automaker’s first new car in very many years, was launched a couple of months back, but with sparse details. Fast forward to the present day, and Lotus has finally revealed some specifics.

Lotus revealed the specs and price of the Emira V-6 First Edition car. The car will make 400 horses, can be paired to either an automatic or a manual gearbox, and is priced at over $100,000. How about that!

How Much Power Does The Lotus Emira Make?

You can have it with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox. The torque figures vary for both the transmissions. The Emira with the three-pedal setup will churn out 310 pound-feet of twist, whereas the automatic Emira will produce 317 pound-feet of torque.

As for the performance specs, the Lotus Emira will sprint to 60 mph from a standstill in 4.3 seconds. It will gallop to 62 mph in 4.3 seconds when equipped with the manual gearbox, and 4.2 seconds when equipped with the automatic gearbox. The top speed will be limited to 180 mph.

The Emira V-6 First Edition will come with LED headlights and taillights as standard. Apart from this, it comes with a titanium exhaust finisher, heated power-fold door mirrors, and rear parking sensors. Lotus has equipped 20-inch ultra-lightweight V-spoke forged wheels. They are offered in a two-tone finish as standard, but you can opt for a silver or gloss black finish if dual-tone is not your thing. The two-piece brake discs with branded calipers a TPMS are also offered on the First Edition Emira.

For now, it will be available in six different exterior shades. The automaker plans to add more colors to the palette in 2022. The colors on offer now are:

What’s Special On The Inside?

On the inside, the Lotus Emira V-6 First Edition can be had either with Nappa Leather upholstery, or Alcantara. The Nappa Leather options include Red, Black, Grey, and Tan. The Alcantara upholstery is black, but you can have it with either red, yellow, or grey stitching. This makes it seven different options for the cabin.

A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster sits behind the steering wheel. As for the infotainment needs, Lotus has equipped a 10.25-inch touchscreen system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 10-channel, 340W KEF audio system is also included. Aside from all this, the Emira V-6 First Edition also comes with:

Lotus Has Offered Four Packs As Standard On This Model

The Emira V-6 First Edition will be offered with four packs as standard. These include:

- Lower Black Pack – Here, the front bumper air blades, front splitter, side sills, and rear diffuser are all finished in gloss black.

- Drivers Pack – You get to choose between Tour or Sport suspension setup with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport tires, or Sport suspension with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

- Design Pack – It includes privacy glass, sports pedals, a black Alcantara headliner, Lotus-branded footwell mats, and the choice of black, red, yellow, or silver-painted brake calipers.

- Convenience Pack – This pack includes front parking sensors, a rear reversing camera, rain-sensing wipers with aero blades, auto-dimming mirrors, and a rear luggage storage net.

A Lotus Emira GT4 Race Car Is Also In The Reckoning

Lotus recently announced that it is working on a competition-spec GT4 version of the Emira It will come with a six-speed xTrac gearbox with paddle shifters and a limited-slip differential. The race car will also feature a double-wishbone setup at the front and rear, Öhlins coil-over dampers, and anti-roll bars.

While the street-legal Emira comes with 20-inch wheels, the GT4 will ride on 18-inch rubber shod in Pirelli tires. It will also come with a whole lot of aero equipment. We don’t have the specifics yet, but the images show a large rear spoiler. The car will be unveiled later this year and will be available for the 2022 season.
