Until now there has been quite a bit of rumors about a future Cadillac CTS-V coupe, now it is official: Bob Lutz confirmed that the company is indeed preparing a coupe version of the high performance CTS-V, although CTS-V wagon hopefuls will have to wait for a future update.

"As of now, the V package is planned only for the sedan and coupe." As for more CTS-V models – specifically a Sport Wagon variant – Lutz said, "... should sufficient demand materialize, there is no reason why we couldn't do a V-Series wagon, and I would be standing in line for one, just ahead of you."

The CTS-V is powered by a 6.2L LSA supercharged V8 engine that will deliver 500 HP and allow the Cadillac to become a serious competitor with other factory tuned machines like the BMW M3 Coupe.
