After years of speculation the BMW M3 Touring finally became a reality: the sports wagon made its world debut at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Well, in all reality, it became a reality for Europe as the U.S. will not be able to enjoy it because, according to BMW, homologation costs would have been too high. Like with all its other products, BMW is offering a series of M Performance parts that will make the M3 Touring look a lot sportier. Not that it doesn’t look sporty enough.

Carbon Fiber M Performance Parts

All the upgrades from the M Performance catalog are made from carbon fiber. Upgrades include carbon fiber front canards, a new carbon front attachment, new carbon front splitter, and new Aero Flicks. All these changes give the front end a particularly striking look. Changes continue on the side with carbon side skirt trims, while in the back you will see a new carbon rear spoiler and new rear winglets. The exhaust system will also be upgraded with titanium end pipes with ceramic coating and a black matt finish. BMW also offers new wheels, sizes up to 21 inches. An M Performance sports suspension and M Performance sports brake pads will make the M3 Touring safer at higher speeds.

And even if we have no images, the M Performance parts also include changes on the interior. The steering wheel is made from Alcantara, and just like with all the other BMW M models there will be a blue center marker in the 12 o’clock position and a handstitched M seam finished in M colors. You can also opt for carbon shift paddles, doorsill with carbon inserts, M Performance front and rear floor mats, plus various other elements made from matt-coated carbon and Alcantara.

No M Performance Upgrades for the M3 Competition Touring

Unfortunately, M Performance only offers updates for the exterior and interior of the car, with no upgrade made under the hood. But in all honesty, they are not really necessary as the M3 Touring is already a very powerful station wagon. It is powered by a 3.0-liter, twin-turbo six-cylinder S58 engine that delivers 510 horsepower at 6,250 rpm and 479 pound-feet of torque between 2,750- and 5,500 rpm. It goes from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.6 seconds and up to a top speed of 174 mph.

How much do the BMW M Performance parts cost?

While BMW didn't say anything specific about the M3 Touring M Performance parts prices we know from all the other BMW M models that they usually range from a few hundred bucks to a few thousand dollars. For example, the steering wheel is priced at $1,570, the exhaust system at $4,000, the side skirt winglets at $2,659, while a new set of 20-inch M Performance wheels will set you back another $4,160. So, if you want to upgrade the look of your M3 Touring be ready to pay a lot for it!
