Manhart is not letting the V-8 AMG go out without a little noise.
As the next round of AMGs will be hybrids and 4-cylinders, this is rather fitting.
The model is called the Manhart CR 700 Wagon.
Putting a massive engine in a relatively tiny wagon ought to be a good time.
The engine is a re-worked version of the familiar Mercedes 4-liter twin-turbo V-8.
The "normal" engine has 503 horsepower. Manhart boosts it up to 712.
Of course, that stripe is fantastic.
Torque is also increased, from 516lb-ft to 679lb-ft.
All that extra grunt means the CR 700 wagon can double its speed from 60mph to 120mph in 5.5 seconds.
There were several factors that increased the power so substantially.
Different turbos, a new ECU tune, carbon intake, new exhaust, new intercooler, and fuel pump were the upgrades needed.
Manhart also had to tweak the 9-speed automatic to help it take all the extra oomph.
The exhausts Manhart offers are sports downpipes with 200-cell catalytic converters. Or, race downpipes.
As you can see from the interior, the CR 700 Wagon is only offered with the previous-gen AMG C 63.
Manhart's own 20-inch 'Concave One' wheels are wrapped in 255 performance tires in the front, and 275 performance tires in the back.
The car is also fitted with adjustable H&R coil over suspension.
The interior is stock C-Class, but Manhart can made some modification upon request and a large check.
Manhart did not specify the exact cost, so expect it to be audaciously expensive.
