The all-new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Convertible is arriving in the fall of 2020, putting to bed any and all questions about its timetable. The announcement came in the form of a video touting the arrival of the roofless version of the next-generation Corvette. The model, which also happens to be the first mid-engine convertible model in the long and illustrious history of the iconic nameplate, will be joined on-stage — or wherever the debut’s going to take place — by the 2020 Corvette C8.R race car, the successor to the award-winning C7.R grand tourer race car that has won 16 endurance races, including the 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans. There’s no official date as to when both models will debut, but Chevrolet’s announcement of a Fall 2019 reveal means that we won’t have to wait long for the Corvette C8 Convertible and the Corvette C8.R race car to join the Corvette C8 Coupe in what is fast becoming a growing family of C8 Corvettes.
