For a brand that proudly boasts of a product portfolio totaling three vehicles – the aptly named supercars ‘B1’ and ‘B2’ and the F2 SUV - it seems a little ambitious to announce that Marussia will be trooping over to the Frankfurt Motor Show->ke235 next year with seven different models. You read that right: seven new models!

While we’re not about to question their capabilities in having seven debuts at the IAAs, it does make us wonder what type of cars the Russian automaker has up its sleeve. Word has it that among the models that will be in attendance are a sports coupe, a small city car, a luxury sedan, and a luxury SUV.

It’s also been noted recently that Marussia has set lofty goals for 2011 so it really shouldn’t come as a surprise that they’re planning on expanding their line-up past the B1, B2, and F2 SUV. The company is already in the process of opening two new show rooms in London and Monaco with factories also scheduled to open in Germany and Belgium at the same time. The latter move seems to coincide with the need to expand its production capabilities to accommodate the line-up growth.

Whatever the case may be, we’d be very surprised if 2011 isn’t going to be a big year for Marussia. All the signs are pointing to the Russian automaker having a very eventful year, highlighted by what is shaping up to be a Russian invasion at the 2011 IAAs.
