Supercars seem to be selling, and Maserati is betting its future on it. In the next few years, expect even more sportier models: two new S models (as in sport), a roadster version of the current GT and a smaller coupe and sedan. The Kuban GT concept sports wagon has been dropped.

Maserati has been getting the hand-me-downs of the rest of the Fiat Group for a while now, but when those siblings are Ferrari and Alfa Romeo, it doesn't seem so bad. If Alfa goes shopping for a rear-wheel drive platform for a new sedan, Maserati will follow. If Alfa can get a platform from another automaker, Maserati may look to build baby brothers for the Quattroporte->ke336 and GranTurismo->ke2326.

Also on the way from Italy will be a GranTurismo Cabrio that will compete with BMW 6-series cabriolet and Mercedes-Benz CLK. The four-seat cabriolet will sport a canvas top and debut late next year.
