When the German automaker BMW introduced the new Z4 Roadster to the world with their Expression of Joy campaign they showed off the car creating automotive art in a series of bright and brilliant colors, however one shade that they left out was matte gray, just like the exterior of this slightly modified Z4. No this isn’t a new color option from the luxury automaker, but instead an aftermarket applied foil that drastically alters the appearance of BMW’s new hard top roadster. The BMW 313 performance bicolor rims don’t hurt either.

As it comes from the factory the BMW Z4 is available with two different versions of the 3.0 Liter inline six, the sDrive30i makes 255 HP, and the boosted sDrive35i uses a set of twin turbos to lay down a maximum of 300 HP. The hard top convertible Z4 can be shifted with either a 6 speed manual gearbox or BMW’s newly developed double clutch sport automatic gearbox. The BMW Z4 sDrive35i makes the 0 to to 60 MPH sprint in just 5.1 seconds with the manual transmission and one tenth faster with the sport tuned automatic. However both models are limited to a top speed of 130 MPH, but you can get up to 150 MPH with the optional Sport Package. Just don’t expect to find this matte grey option at the dealership.

The heavy rooftop of the roadster version was surely adds to the weight of the car. I really love the modified detailing on this vehicle. Well, I guess it would be better to less consider this production.

Matte color makes the car more elegant aside from its convertible body. However, it seems that the speed performance of the car is not that impressive! I think the current production of this car is more powerful!

hmm. I guess this is the less powerful BMW that have seen! I was a bit disappointed in the top speed of this car! I hope they would upgrade the speed performance of the Z4.

Back in 2002, the fist generation of the Z4 debuted. It’s a bit larger and sophisticated compare to Z3. And offering a six-cylinder engines really increase the performance of each BMW Series which is a good thing though. And the design of the exterior and the interior doesn’t disappoint me. What gives me a disappointment is the Z3.
However, they come up with the Z4 that has fresh and bolder design!

Below average for a convertible car that have a 300 HP? Are you insane? It’s not a supercar that needs a lot of power. I really like this car not on the gray matte, BMW Z4 really have a form of a sports car that the Audi A5 cabrio.

It’s just so happen that this car have the finest touch in terms of selecting the right matte and love the color of this one. Compared to the red matte, it will be a landslide. Although the speed of this Z4 is below average for a convertible but for the looks, it will be a tough competition.
