Now that the embargo is finally off, journalists from around the world are allowed to open the gates and let everyone know how good or bad they felt at the global press launch of the Mercedes-AMG C63 and C63 S. Since I'm willing to bet that you would enjoy an unflourished opinion filled with factual information and sprinkled with some gratuitous shots of sideways action, I decided to share Chris Harris' take on the new C63 S.

Unlike other AMG videos->ke278 from the Brit, this one is longer and therefore a bit less theatrical, but it more than makes up for it with a ton of information about the model. While not pitting the new C63 and C63 S against the latest BMW M3,->ke2366 Harris does find some common ground between the two German sport sedans, as he does plenty of differences as well. As expected by most people, the "muscle car in a suit" personality of its C63 AMG predecessor has been kept and even improved on thanks to the added oomph of the twin-turbocharged V-8, although Chris is not entirely comfortable with the more understated design of the new model.

While the W204 generation of the C63 looks the business, the new model looks like it drives to a business, with the increased power and torque figures only being hinted at and not overtly expressed by a maniacal-looking body kit. All in all, it seems like Harris is more than impressed with the new baby AMG sedan though, whether in C63 or C63 S form.
