About two months away from its official unveiling, the second-generation 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe is still testing in Germany. This time around caught with significantly less camouflage covering its body, the sleek coupe->ke141 seems almost ready to show its new shape to the world. It's not like we don't know it will look like a shrunken 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe, but we can't be sure about it until every single inch of camouflage is removed.

Last time we saw it, the C-Class Coupe was drifting in the snow somewhere in Scandinavia, with only part of its roof and the A-pillars out in the open. This time our trusty paparazzi spotted the two-door camo-free from the B-pillars forward, with more than 50 percent of the car ready to be analyzed in detail.

Moreover, the license plate has been repositioned in the bumper, a feature seen on the S-Class Coupe.

Why it matters

Though I'm not the type to encourage the "same sausage, different lengths" strategy (I'm looking at you, Audi!),->ke14 I actually think it's a good idea for the C-Class to look like a shrunken S-Class Coupe. I do think the C-Class Sedan looks awfully similar to the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class from the side, but I think the C-Class has a more muscular stance simply because it's more "dense." This feature would appear even hotter on the C-Class Coupe, which would also benefit from the S-Class Coupe's sexy rear end.
