Mercedes E63 AMG station wagon spy shot
After Mercedes will unveil the 2010 E-Class Coupe at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, we’ll see the E63 AMG later in the year at the Frankfurt Auto Show. Like the current car, AMG will put its magic to work on both sedan and station wagon versions of the 2010 E-Class.
The future E63 AMG will keep the current 6.2-liter V8 engine, but the output will be raised to 525 hp (up from the current model’s 508 hp.) The next round of 63 AMGs are rumored to be more driver-focused. So far we know the AMG modified E-Class cars have gone through rigorous testing. Back in September, F1 driver Mika Häkkinen was testing the next E63 AMG sedan.
No word yet from the Mercedes camp when this hot grocery-getter will make it to the U.S. But when it does show up, it will likely be only a few thousand more than the current car’s $89,375 base price.
