Mercedes GLC Spied Inside And Out: Video
The 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC has been showing up in public quite often recently, but that’s far from strange given its official debut is scheduled a little more than a week from now, on June 17th. Last time we saw it, the crossover was wearing very little camouflage, with black tape covering only its bumpers and side panels. Now, a new video shows a fleet of barely camouflage prototypes, a sign that Mercedes-Benz is indeed ready to unveil the GLC to the world.
Even though the Germans removed nearly all of the camo, that’s not to say we have a lot more GLC to ogle at. The vehicle’s design ceased to be a mystery a long time ago, when we realized it’s a shrunken 2016 GLE or a C-Class Wagon on stilts. Making this video a lot more interesting is that it provides us with our first, uncamouflaged look at the GLC’s interior. Again, we knew the crossover would make use of the C-Class’ gorgeous cabin since late 2013, so all this footage does is confirm it with a clear shot. If you had any doubts, here it is folks: you’ll find more than 95 percent of the C-Class’ gorgeous interior in the GLC.
As you might have already guessed, the crossover will get the sedan’s engines as well, including the turbocharged, 4.0-liter V-8 in the AMG version. More details will become available when the GLC breaks cover later this month, so make sure you stick around for the full rundown.
