Back in 1990 at the Geneva Motor Show, Mercedes unveiled the 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II sedan, a model that - at that time - was said to be capable of producing a total output of 232 bhp.

Now, after more than two decades, Mercedes is finally preparing for a likely successor to the special-edition 190E. According to reports, the new model that will carry the Evolution badge will be based on the next-generation B-Class, which will then compete with the Audi RS3 and the BMW M1.

Codenamed C117 EVO, the new model will be placed below the next generation C63 AMG and will measure around 4500 mm. It will likewise be powered by a new supercharged 3.2-liter V6 engine rated at 400 hp. It will be a front-wheel-drive model based on the MFA chassis that will also be used in the next A-class.

As for the car’s exterior proportions and dimensions, they were previewed at the Geneva Motor Show by theF800 Style Concept.

One more difference in the interior! The instrument dials are surrounded but moulding like the C63. Where as the normal versions are don’t have that sunken-in feel due to the molding around it.

400 horsepower is not that bad. I really like the look of the car as it seems like it’s a new muscle car. Well, with that much horsepower, it can be a good muscle car. With that kind of nose, it does seem to be like a muscle car from mustang.

It has the killer looks, too much aggressive and scary to mess around with. I wonder how much will the MB declare to each unit.
