Mercedes just dropped details on the first high-performance variant of the new E-Class, blessing the mid-size sedan with a little extra excitement. Let’s start with the engine, which is a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 producing 396 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque. Those figures come courtesy of new turbos, which stuff the cylinders with nearly 16 psi of boost. The turbos are also placed closer to the engine for sharper throttle response. A run from standstill to 62 mph takes 4.6 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited at 155 mph.
