The Frankfurt Auto Show is fast approaching and car makers have already set out plans on how they’re going to make a splash at the annual gathering.

BMW knows how to make an impression and it’s looking like German-based automakers are planning to do just that by celebrating Mini’s 50th anniversary in grand style.

Dubbed ‘What a birthday, It’s MINI’, BMW is sparing no expense throwing every but the kitchen sink to make this special occasion as memorable as possible. We’ve gotten word that the Beamer folks are planning to bring two special edition vehicles – the 50 Camden and the 50 Mayfair – to the show.

It’s a fitting event to showcase to the world just how far MINI has come. And if everything goes according to plan, you might even see a ‘MINI’ birthday cake being rolled out.

While it’s still early for greetings, we’ll say ours anyway.

‘Happy 50, MINI!’
