Mini Clubman-more information
The new MINI Clubman wagon will be debuting in September in Frankfurt, while the U.S. version should be shown in Detroit next year.
The car will be going on sale in Europe in early 2008, in exclusive colors, including Java Grey, Sand Glow and Hot Chocolate. The Clubman will launch with several unique exterior and interior colors. Inside we’ll see several unique seating options as well as new trim.
The wheelbase will be lengthened by 80mm, while the rear overhang grows an additional 120mm.The new car has been given the latest MINI line-up’s nose, at the front. The tailgate is split in two with twin, van-style doors and individual windscreen wipers, that provide excellent access to the sizeable boot. The design is asymmetric with a Mazda RX8-style ’suicide’ door on the passenger’s side.
The Clubman uses stretched platform architecture from the new MINI range. Engines will mirror the current line-up from the One, Cooper and Cooper S, and comprise 95bhp 1.4, 120bhp 1.6 and 175bhp 1.6-litre petrol motors, as well as the 110bhp 1.6 diesel from the Cooper D. The prices will start at about £13,500.
