According to MotoringFile, BMW has revealed the first details about the upcoming "Colorado" Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV). It will go into production in 2010. 80000 units are expected to be produced each year.

The Colorado will feature an optional "smart" AWD system that is designed for efficiency and improved traction more than performance. Taking a few cues from the classic MINI rally cars of the past combined with a more extroverted character, the Colorado is being developed with the US market squarely in mind.

The Colorado will not embody the qualities that of the traditional SUV. Mini will target more of the crossover segment, and US market will be the special target.
