The British tuner Superchips announced the first details on a new upgrade package for the MINI Cooper S. Thanks to an ECU remap which optimises ignition timing, fueling and turbo boost parameters, the peak power increases by 20bhp at peak (up to 195bhp from a measured 175bhp), while peak torque has been increased from 256Nm (187lb.ft) to a healthy 282Nm (206lb.ft).

The new Superchips performance ECU remap for the R56 MINI Cooper S is available now by visiting one of approximately 100 Superchips dealerships in the UK. The price for the upgrade is £445.00.

I think they should make their mini cooper much faster than other sports and HB cars in the market for it to really stand out

Now that is something to surely look forward to for Mini. During the recession, I really thought that it was the end of mini’s. I’m glad to hear that there are upgrades and more technology for one of the favorite manufacturer of mine.
