Every now and then you hear about a ridiculous story that has all the right elements to make it sound like something out of a poorly scripted TV show. Such is the case with Miss Doody. Miss Doody – full name: Rebecca Sue Doody – was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence after her boyfriend called the police on her when she arrived home, with her three kids in tow, drunk as a skunk. This would just be a story about bad – I mean horrible since kids were involved – judgment, but things went from horrible to ridiculous real fast once Miss Doody found herself in the back seat of a police car.
From Endangering Kids to Bribery With Sexual Favors
According to the York Daily Record, officers arrived at Doody’s home to investigate a domestic dispute. It was there that things went downhill. Jacob Anglia, Doody’s boyfriend, explained to police that she had been driving drunk with her three children in the car. Once Police spook to Doody, it was painfully clear what had we down as she smelled of alcohol, was unsteady on her feet, and was slurring her words. Shen then “performed poorly” during a field sobriety test. You know what that means – Doody is going to jail.
According to the arresting officers, Doody started offering sexual favors while in transit to the hospital. The offers apparently continued at the hospital while Doody was undergoing the required medical testing:
"While on the way to the hospital Doody was trying to bribe me with sexual favors in an attempt to avoid criminal charges," an officer wrote in documents. These alleged offers continued at UPMC Hospital, in front of hospital employees and police.”
You would think that, at some point, Doody would realize that bribery wasn’t going to work and is, really, a bad idea altogether. Hell, it’s a crime. But, she was determined. She was so determined, in fact, that she continued to offer sexual favors at the police station, even going so far as to use her free hand to show off her tatas to the two officers working near her.
"While on the bench Doody used her free hand and pulled up her shirt and bra exposing her breast," in front of two officers, documents state. "She continued to request several different sexual acts from police in an attempt to get out of criminal charges."
Of course, bribery and indecent exposure are really the least of Doody’s concerns at this point. She’s being charged with one count of bribery and indecent exposure, but the police also tacked on some serious charges, including DUO and three counts of recklessly endangering another person (her three children, obviously.)
