The supercharged version, possible to be called XF-S V8 will have a maximum power of 420 hp. An R version will have a maximum power of 500 hp.

The XF will make the o to 60mph in less than 5.0sec, 100mph in around 10sec, and the top speed will be limited to 155mph.

A diesel version will also come in 2009. To be called XKD, it will be powered by a 3.0 liter V6 twin-turbodiesel engine with a capacity of 250 hp.
