Ford->ke31 has been making Earth-shatteringly awesome hot hatches->ke304 for decades, largely the result of WRC->ke523 efforts in Europe. These weren't sold in the U.S. until relatively recently, but they were already top-notch products once they arrived. And they just keep getting better; Ford has updated the Focus ST for 2015, so Motor Trend has taken another look at it and released a new video. The review shouldn't carry too many surprises, Ford simply updated what was already a very good product.

One thing which you'll hear several times throughout the video->ke278 is how the Focus ST is so surprisingly well-balanced for a front-wheel-drive car. This is a much-celebrated strength of the Fiesta ST as well, and is really the central quality in any good performance car. Squeezing a bit more power out of an engine doesn't take a tremendous amount of engineering skill, but making a front-wheel-drive that handles better than quite a few popular rear-wheel-drive sports cars->ke506 is like the holy grail of engineering. Some people prefer the smaller, lighter Fiesta ST to the bigger and more powerful Focus ST, but the price difference isn't huge, and Ford made them both excellent, so it's really just a question of taste.
