This is the 'Dark Horse', the world's first-ever Ford Bronco 6x6. Now, considering that the new Bronco is one of the hottest rigs on the block, frankly, I saw this one coming. Well, here we are, folks.

Overview

The Apocalypse Manufacturing company, based out of Fort Lauderdale in Miami, really needs no introduction. The firm is renowned for churning out some of the most ridiculous 6x6s out there. They include stuff like the Jeep-based Hellfire, Doomsday, Sinister 6, and the Warlord based on the Ram 1500 TRX. The tuner now worked its magic on the Ford Bronco.

The Bronco Just Got The Apocalyptic Treatment

Okay, the first glance at this truck is enough to tell you that there's a lot going on here. The most obvious difference is the addition of a bed and a functional extra axle, which, in theory, should make it more ready for an apocalypse. Alright, you can't really be rational here

Anyway, some of the mods include

- Kevlar coated steel bumper with two hooks

- Lightbar with a stacked lamp arrangement

- Extended Rear Fenders

- Modified Roof panel

- Extra side and rear windows

- 37-inch Milestar Patagonia M/T tires with full-size spare

- An upgraded brown and black leather interior

But, the upgrades aren't just visual. Apocalpyse has tinkered with that V-6 mill and it now dishes out a cool 400 horsepower. Modifications include stuff like larger injectors, increasing boost, a brand new exhaust, and revised software. The upgraded suspension helps give this right a four-inch lift. All said and done, with the addition of that bed, the Dark Horse is 225 inches long.

To Sum it up

Well, that needs to be seen. Build No. 1 of the Dark Horse will be going under the hammer at Barrett Jackson's Palm Beach auction, with bidding starting on Saturday, April 9th between 17:00 - 20:30. Apocalypse will eventually start building more Dark Horses for customers, converting their Bronco's into 6x6.
