On November 3rd, the rebooted Need for Speed will launch, and it’s shaping up to be the best NFS release yet. So far, we’ve been teased with the debut of the 2016 BMW M2, and an awesome looking car customization platform that might be the best of any car game yet. Now, EA Games has released the full list of cars that will be in the game at launch, and it includes key vehicles from BMW, Ford, Honda, Nissan, Porsche and even Volvo.

Starting at the top, we have the Acura RSX-S. Selections from BMW include the M2, M3 E46, M3 E92, M3 Evolution II E30, and the M4. Chevy options are limited to the Camaro Z28 and Z06 Corvette, and Dodge models include the Challenger SRT8 and the SRT Viper. If you’re a Ferrari fan, you can choose between the 458 Italia and the F40, while Ford fans get the Focus RS and four iterations of the Mustang, including the Boss 302, Fox Body and Mustang GT. Honda brings the Civic Type-R, NSX Type R and S2000, while offerings from Mazda include the 1996 and 2015 MX-5 Miata, as well as the RX-7 Spirit R.

Further down the list is the McLaren 570S, Mercedes-AMG GT, and Mitsubishi Lancer EVO MR. Nissan has a huge list of its own, including the Silvia Spec-R, 180SX Type X, Fairlady 240ZG, GT-R Premium, and three other variants of Godzilla, including the 1993 and 1999 GT-R V-Spec and the Skyline GT-R KPGC10. From Porsche, there are four variations of the 911: the 991 and 993 Carrera S, Carrera RSR 2.8, and the GT3 RS. For the more conservative players, there’s the Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ Premium, and the Volkswagen Golf GTI. The Subaru Impreza WRX STI and Volvo 242 will also be options, along with three offerings from Toyota that include the Sprinter GT Apex, Supra SZ-R, and GT86.

Why it matters

Now that the list of cars is out, there is no doubt in my mind that NFS is going to be absolutely fantastic for gamers and car enthusiasts alike. In a blog post, EA community manager Ben Walke said, “While we’ve been busy making the game we’ve also been reading, watching and listening to you, our ’NFS’ community."

After seeing the configurator teaser, the BMW M2 teaser, and now this list of cars, I have to say EA has listened well. I can’t wait to get my copy of the new NFS. What about you?
