Zeljko Kerum, the mayor of Split, Croatia, should now know better on who to trust with his high-priced supercars. His 20-year old nephew, Joseph Kerum, shouldn’t be one of them especially after the latter ended up crashing his uncle’s beloved Ferrari 430 Spyder in the age old case of driving while in an intoxicated state.

Apparently, the younger Kerum was on his way home from a drunken night out on the town when he lost control of the 430 Spyder at the A1 motorway at Sestanovac and ended up violently crashing the car into a guard rail. The impact was so devastating that the car bounced back from the guard rail and spun a number of times before crashing again, this time on the other side of the motorway.

As the photos of the car plainly illustrate, the F430 Spyder was completely mangled, casting doubts as to whether it can even be repaired.

Fortunately, Joseph Kerum escaped the accident without any major injuries, although that may not be the case after he tells his uncle that his Ferrari 430 won’t be making its way home anytime soon, if ever.

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read More

Well, I think its driver has been to excited about the speed of this car that’s why it ended in a car crashed. The good news was, there’s nothing serious happen in this car.

A man with priorities so out of whack doesn’t deserve such a fine automobile.

I agree with Mikko_Salvatore. Never let your 20 yrs. Old nephew ride on your Ferrari Spyder. That would be GREAT Lesson for the uncle.

If there are two things that I wouldn’t be giving to a 20 year old teen is the keys to a car as hot as the Ferrari 430 Spyder and money to buy himself some gas to drive it. It always spells disasters specially with the teens and their driving behavior nowadays.
