Zeljko Kerum, the mayor of Split, Croatia, should now know better on who to trust with his high-priced supercars. His 20-year old nephew, Joseph Kerum, shouldn’t be one of them especially after the latter ended up crashing his uncle’s beloved Ferrari 430 Spyder in the age old case of driving while in an intoxicated state.

Apparently, the younger Kerum was on his way home from a drunken night out on the town when he lost control of the 430 Spyder at the A1 motorway at Sestanovac and ended up violently crashing the car into a guard rail. The impact was so devastating that the car bounced back from the guard rail and spun a number of times before crashing again, this time on the other side of the motorway.

As the photos of the car plainly illustrate, the F430 Spyder was completely mangled, casting doubts as to whether it can even be repaired.

Fortunately, Joseph Kerum escaped the accident without any major injuries, although that may not be the case after he tells his uncle that his Ferrari 430 won’t be making its way home anytime soon, if ever.
